Shipping guide

What you can send, what you cannot, and how to get your parcel ready.

Usually accepted

  • Clothes, shoes and bags
  • Dry food, spices, tea, pickles and sealed snacks in their original packing
  • Prescribed medicine, with a copy of the prescription
  • Documents and certificates
  • Gifts, household items, books and handicrafts

Accepted with conditions

  • Medicine: only with a prescription, in reasonable personal quantities.
  • Meat items: Europe only, at an extra charge per kg. South Korea, Japan and Australia do not allow them.
  • Electronics: phones and laptops with the battery inside the device. Ask us first.
  • Liquids: only sealed and well packed. Ask us first.

Not accepted

  • Flammable, explosive or hazardous items (gas, perfume in large amounts, lighters, matches, paint)
  • Loose batteries and power banks
  • Cash, gold, silver and jewellery
  • Drugs, narcotics and anything illegal in Nepal or the destination country
  • Weapons, imitation weapons and ammunition
  • Fresh fruit, vegetables, seeds and plants
  • Counterfeit or copied branded goods

Each country has its own rules. If you are not sure about an item, send us a photo on WhatsApp before you pack it.

What to bring

  • A copy of the sender’s citizenship card or passport
  • The receiver’s full name, full address (in English and, for Korea and Japan, in the local language if possible) and phone number
  • For South Korea: the receiver’s Personal Customs Clearance Code (개인통관고유부호) if they have one
  • The prescription, for any medicine

Packing tips

  • Bring items unpacked if you can. We pack them in strong boxes so they pass customs checks.
  • Seal pickles, oil and anything that can leak in double plastic bags.
  • Do not hide items inside other items. Customs opens boxes, and hidden items cause delays.
  • Write a simple list of what is inside. We use it for the customs papers.

Customs and duty

We prepare the export papers in Nepal. The destination country may charge import duty or tax, which the receiver pays. We tell you in advance when a shipment is likely to attract duty.

Whether an item can be sent depends on airline rules, the laws of Nepal and of the destination country, and the courier’s own policy, and these rules can change. This guide is general advice: we confirm every item when you bring it to our office.
